Pearl is honored on the Inc. 5000 list
PearlTrans Logistics was recently singled out by Inc Magazine as a member of the Inc. 5000 2023 Class. It is the first time the company has made the list.
The Inc. 5000 lists the 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in the US, based on the percentage of revenue growth over the last three years. The members of the Inc 5000 are among the .07% of companies in terms of growth. For PearlTrans Logistics and everyone on the list, it is a milestone of entrepreneurial success. The list is published online at www.inc.com/inc5000.
“This award is a testimony to our resiliency over the last three years, which included the challenges posed by COVID,” says PearlTrans CEO and Founder Lorena Camargo. “COVID was responsible for a tremendous upheaval in the logistics sector, but we were able to pivot and, in the end, emerge stronger and with a greater reach than ever before.” Over the last three years, the company- which started in 2011 in a 250-square-foot space – grew 186%.
The company’s most significant expansion came about in the area of healthcare logistics. Before COVID, that work comprised 5% of the PearlTrans book of business. Today, their work in specialized medical logistics to healthcare facilities, pharmacies, and reproductive life sciences is 50% of their business. The company also expanded its service footprint throughout California and the U.S.
“The Inc. 5000 ranking is all about remarkable growth, and we are honored to be recognized this way. It’s a testimony to all we’ve been through in the last three years and how far we’ve come since our beginnings,” Camargo concludes. “When we started our company in 2011, we chose our name because a pearl starts with a grain of sand and grows into a thing of beauty by building layers through grit and resiliency. When COVID put our backs to the wall, we summoned that resiliency. The result was the remarkable growth that the Inc. 5000 award recognizes.”
